Sun Instinct Solarium: Gerard’s products for professional tan

 
The use of the professional solarium (sunlamp, sun bed, sun shower) is more and more diffused, not only at the beauty centers, but also at the beauty centers and Spas.
In order to best support the professionalism of the beauticians under this aspect, Gerard’s has created three professional Solarium products to offer to the clients: the tan activator, the protective cream and the after sun lotion.
 
It is important to remember that we are operators of beauty, as well as wellness, and that our objective is to firstly take care of skin’s health. Aside from understanding and respecting the rules and warning supplied by the manufacturing companies of solarium equipment, in order for the beautician to work with her best, most professional and responsible way, she should:
 
  • always suggest that the client apply a product with a protective UVA-UVB filter, fundamental especially for phototypes 1 and 2, and for those who suffer from couperose or dilated capillaries on the legs;
  • suggest that the client use appropriate protection for the eyes (protective goggles);
  • suggest  limiting exposure, or advising against it, to clients who suffer from UVA intolerance, melasma or spots, and those who present a lot of moles and those who are taking medications (such as antibiotics, anti-inflammatory medicines, or the  birth-control pill).
